These two groups combine the purchasing power of hundreds of stores across Canada allowing Metro to offer prices as good as, or better than than our competitors. But make no mistake, Metro is a part owner of Castle - not the other way around. Don Smith is a past president of Castle Building Centres.

For instance, Pella Windows are widely viewed to be the best in North America and Metro is very proud to be Canada's oldest Pella Window dealer. Pella is a worldwide company that has been in operation for over 75 years and for half that time Metro has exclusively represented Pella on the Island.

JeldWen Windows, with their DF Collection, is another of the World's Largest window and door manufacturers and for over 20 years we are pleased to have been their oldest Island dealer for this ever popular line.

In 1969 Metro opened its doors at 161 St. Peter's Rd in the Sherwood Shopping Centre. In the Spring of 1986, Metro expanded and moved to 27 Brackley Point Road. Then in March of 2004, Metro moved to our new, bigger and better location in our own custom built facility at 25 Riverside Drive. In March 2008 we expanded this site with the addition of a 14,000 square foot warehouse adjoining the North side of our property.
